What can I say?  Skateboarding is just one of the raddest things ever.  As a kid it truly helped me attain the attention that I so craved.  Unfortunately, that attention was from the likes of cops, security guards, jocks etc…  Luckily it is a little more socially acceptable these days.

five 0From the moment I first put my best foot forward, I knew I was in for a long ride.   Now it's over 25 years later and I still enjoy it just as much.  I don't even mind the aches and pains, to quote my father, an ex-motocross racer, "The pain just helps you to savor the enjoyment for weeks to come!"

The people that I have met through skating are some of the most unique, artistic and crazy people I have ever seen, and I know that we will be friends forever because of our common bond.  Bring a board with you wherever you go and you are almost guaranteed to meet a kindred spirit.

I cannot wait to share skateboarding with my son, Wyatt.  I see fathers and sons shredding together at the skatepark all the time and it just looks so awesome.

Oregon has some of the best skateparks in the world.  Some are built legitimately with City funding and others just sprout up in some random parking lot as DIY projects.  Below are some links to information on a couple of my favorite Oregon parks.
